A welcome from our new CEO, Graham Bell

If you’re reading this as a school leader, you’ll know the feeling when something new lands on your desk. A new initiative, a new expectation, a new system to implement. You want to do it properly, but you also need it to be workable for your staff and meaningful for your pupils. Often there’s a weight to it: you can see why change matters, but you also know how much it asks of people.
That’s how I feel right now, stepping into the role of CEO at Dimensions Curriculum.
I am joining an organisation with such a strong reputation, and a community of schools who care deeply about learning and it is both exciting and humbling. Many of you will know our founder, Elaine Sutton. Elaine’s vision, expertise and commitment have shaped Dimensions from the very beginning, and I’m pleased to say she remains very much part of the business. Elaine will continue to play a key role in product development, helping to ensure the quality, creativity and educational integrity that schools have come to value.
I come to Dimensions with a lot of experience across education, that I hope will help Dimensions to become the school partner that you have always wanted. I’ve worked in education for over two decades, I’ve taught in classrooms, supported school improvement, worked alongside school leaders as they have navigated change, and trained the next generation of teachers coming into the profession. Those experiences have shaped a simple belief that sits at the heart of everything I want Dimensions to do next: our resources, programmes and services have to start with the realities of school life. If it will not improve an aspect of school experience for children or teachers, we won’t develop it.
Education continues to evolve at pace. Leaders are balancing increasing expectations, while teachers are being asked to do more than ever. In that environment, schools do not need more noise. They need trusted partners who listen carefully, respond thoughtfully and provide practical support that genuinely makes a difference.
That is what excites me about the future of Dimensions. Alongside our talented team, and with Elaine’s continued involvement, my focus is on building on everything schools already value, while bringing an even sharper emphasis on quality, rigour and relevance. We will keep listening to educators, developing our products in partnership with schools, and ensuring that what we create helps children flourish both academically and personally.
Over the coming months, I’m looking forward to meeting many of you. I also want to reassure you that we are already working on updates to Dimensions Curriculum so schools feel ready for the new 2028 curriculum. As always, we will share what we are doing clearly and early, so you can see what is coming and plan with confidence.
Thank you for the trust you place in Dimensions. I’m proud to be joining this team, and I’m excited about what we can achieve together.
