Spirit of Christmas
Spirit of Christmas is an Early Years celebration unit centred on festive traditions, storytelling, winter experiences and shared community events. Children explore the sights, sounds and symbols of Christmas through role-play, songs, craft, decorations, cooking and outdoor activities. They learn about Nativity characters, Christmas trees, winter materials, celebrations around the world and the joy of giving. The unit encourages language development, early maths, creativity, social confidence and an appreciation of cultural diversity through shared festive experiences such as decorating trees, making cards, exploring seasonal materials, and taking part in performances and celebrations.
