Come and Join the Celebration

Come and Join the Celebration is a joyful Early Years unit exploring festivals, special occasions and the ways people celebrate across different cultures. Children learn through shared events, role-play, storytelling, music, dance and creative craft linked to celebrations such as Christmas, Diwali, birthdays, bonfire night and autumn festivals. They investigate traditions, foods, decorations and family customs, compare how people celebrate in different countries, and develop social skills by taking part in performances, parties and collaborative activities. The unit blends sensory exploration, cultural awareness, early literacy and maths skills with expressive arts, helping children build confidence, communication and a sense of community.
