Clash of the Titans

Clash of the Titans is a thematic unit based on rivalries and wars, both past and present, with a key focus on history. Pupils will learn about the root causes of why people disagree and how the end result can be as serious as warfare, for example, the Wars of the Roses and Wars of Independence between Scotland and England. They will also learn how social changes can lead to uprisings, such as the Luddites and the Industrial Revolution. There will be an opportunity to revisit learning on World War Two and find out rivalries in other areas of study, such as science and computing.
