“A thoughtfully designed resource that’s already making a positive difference in our classrooms.”

Introducing LMTW has been a real game-changer for our team. It’s clear, well-structured, and genuinely supportive of high-quality teaching. Planning is now more streamlined and consistent, while still allowing flexibility for individual classes and teaching styles. The progression is easy to follow, expectations are clear, and it’s saved us valuable time without compromising creativity or impact. A thoughtfully designed resource that’s already making a positive difference in our classrooms.

The Learning Means the World structure is clear, practical, and easy to use. It’s reduced workload, improved consistency, and given us confidence that progression is well thought out across the year.

“It brings learning to life in a way that motivates them and supports high quality learning throughout.”

“As a primary pupil referral unit, creating genuine engagement is essential for our learners. We were looking for a curriculum that places children at the heart of everything and encourages them to immerse themselves in purposeful, meaningful activities. Dimensions has proved to be a strong fit because it enables our pupils to be active, curious learners rather than passive recipients of information. It brings learning to life in a way that motivates them and supports high quality learning throughout.”

Really pleased with how Dimensions Curriculum maps out the progression, linking the units so that we know where everything is. Very positive. Already the pupils are way more engaged through practical learning activities. It has brought the school together more, with more focused learning. “The children love talking to each other about what their current topic is, and they are excited and motivated to learn throughout the school.”

“As a school we are really pleased with our decision to go with Dimensions. It has changed the way we teach our topic lessons as a school and has elevated the quality and diversity of the topics taught throughout KS1 and KS2. It is wonderful how the same theme can be so diverse across all age ranges and it has given teachers the confidence to explore themes they may not have taught previously.

The staff and pupils are really engaged with the topics. It has been incredibly helpful to have the whole school doing the same theme at the same time. The cohesion this has created across the school has led to some insightful conversations between staff and pupils too! We can come together in staff meetings and share ideas about the current theme and help support each other in our teaching practice. The children love talking to each other about what their current topic is, and they are excited and motivated to learn throughout the school.”

“Having used the Learning Means the World Curriculum for a year now, it has already had a great impact on the children within our school.”

The key underlying themes of conflict, conservation, communication and community are preparing our children to be responsible citizens in the future and have also added depth to the curriculum by studying key influential figures such as Elizabeth Blackwell, Ignatius Sancho and Martin Luther King.  As teachers, we love having all of the resources at our fingertips, planning for each lesson and the knowledge that there is a sequence knowledge and progression.  The Subject Leader Packs have been a lifesaver, with much of the hard work done!  Best of all is the support from the Dimensions team.  They are so helpful, update units and resources regularly as curriculum changes are made or to reflect current issues in the world and also map out the curriculum each year for the school to ensure that it still meets the needs of the children in the school.  Cannot recommend them enough – our best purchase yet!

“Children gained a real insight into life as a modern-day slave through the powerful and emotive resources that were provided. “

“Initially, we thought that we may have to deal with some very challenging concepts and wondered how well our Year 3 children would grasp them.  We totally under-estimated our children’s ability to understand the concepts that the Cry Freedom theme taught about both historical slavery and modern-day slavery. The children loved learning about Harriet Tubman, the plantations, the underground railroads and learning the songs that contained the secret codes. They gained a real insight into life as a modern-day slave through the powerful and emotive resources that were provided. Children produced fantastic Banksy style artwork as a culmination of the Theme. We then used the Bansky artwork skills to create our Christmas cards and calendars. It was a real breath of fresh air to teach, and we thoroughly enjoyed it – possibly even more than the children!

“The cross-curricular coverage and skills progression is evident. Our pupils find lessons interesting and engaging. “

We have been using Dimensions Curriculum since 2020. Our team really enjoy teaching different skills through the range of creative topics available. The cross-curricular coverage and skills progression is evident. Our pupils find lessons interesting and engaging. Our children’s favourite topic is ‘Going Wild’. Learning about animals and visiting a zoo was a thrilling stimulus to develop skills in multiple curriculum areas. Any queries we have had have all been responded promptly by a staff member from the company. Overall, we are really happy with the curriculum, and we can’t wait to complete our next cycle.

“The children are becoming much more outward looking and able to link their learning to their experiences and the world around them.”

Our pupils are far more engaged and enthusiastic since we implemented the Learning Means the World Curriculum. The themes are engaging which then impacts positively on behaviour. They enjoy talking about what they have learned and collaborating with each other.  It’s a different and exciting approach which allows all of the children to shine and be successful in their own ways.  The children are becoming much more outward looking and able to link their learning to their experiences and the world around them.

The units promote real compassion, tolerance and understanding in a complicated world.  Our children love the LMTW themes and activities. It’s interesting and relevant. Our children benefit from social/life skills and PSHE throughout. 4Cs are vital to our children – they do not pick a lot of this up implicitly and Dimensions is great for explicit teaching.

“This curriculum is exciting and fun.”

“This curriculum is exciting and fun. When we researched other models, they seemed ‘dull’ and ‘corporate’. It is values driven; a fundamental part of the way we want our school to grow is developing character traits and characteristics that will improve the well-being and life chances of our local school families / pupils. Dimensions is a uniquely centred curriculum to that end. It provides a relevant, up-to-date model for teaching the requirements of the NC (and beyond) and ensures subject leaders have a good starting point for their monitoring activities.

“The Dimensions curriculum is beginning to help us achieve our school vision.”

The Dimensions curriculum is beginning to help us achieve our school vision. The children are becoming much more outward looking and are able to link their learning to their experiences and the world around them. The emphasis on a global outlook and the 4Cs made it the right choice. Our children need social skills and life skills. The thematic approach helps our children to retain ‘sticky knowledge
